Your planet has come to the brink of environmental collapse. Voxella has set up a lot of factories and shows no remorse for their effect on the environment.

To protect your civilization from certain doom, plant bushes to curb pollution and shoot Voxella down!

Theme interpretation

This game was made for Github Game Off 2018. The theme is Hybrid.

We kind of went overboard with theme interpretation.

• Player is a hybrid (organic brain + mechanical body) icosphere
• Player runs on hybrid fuel (solar + charcoal)
• The universe is hybrid (low poly + voxel characters).
• The game is a hybrid between a third-person shooter and a resource management strategy game.

Gameplay

A single game session is meant to be finished in 300 seconds (5 minutes). You have two objectives in the game.

• Reduce pollution to zero.
• Kill the boss enemy.

Player runs on solar + charcoal, gains charge during the day, uses it for moving, shooting and planting seeds. 

Factories are polluting the environment. Bushes combat pollution and generate seeds + drop health. Bushes produce charcoal on being killed which can be used to gain charge.

Game starts with Player and a few factories. Enemy comes in after 60 seconds.

This is our first game!  A lot of mistakes were made and things learnt during the course of this month.
